While the holidays look different for all of us this year, staff across all our programs are continuing some of our most beloved December traditions.

From students and residential participants to teachers and direct support professionals, everyone at Eden is getting into the holiday spirit.

Teachers and students spent the last few weeks preparing for the Virtual Holiday Show. In lieu of the traditional in-person celebration, each class created themed video shorts to share with parents and families. One class helped Santa check his list while other students took a trip to the South Pole. The Class of 2021’s video showed them enjoying their summer after graduation, surfing and relaxing in some warm tropical weather.

Teachers got into the holiday spirit during the annual ugly sweater contest.

Along with the holiday show, Eden teachers broke out their ugliest holiday gear for their annual ugly sweater contest. Teachers wore sweaters that displayed a variety of holiday cheer, including menorahs, extravagant gift wrap, and Santa’s reindeer.

Across Eden’s residential program, staff and participants are celebrating the holidays at home. From family dinners with all the housemates gathered around a delicious meal to enjoying the sights of the neighborhood’s Christmas lights, staff are creating plenty of small moments together to make the holidays special.

Santa even made a special delivery to each of Eden’s group homes a few days before Christmas. Staff in the adult day program, dressed as Santa and his elves, delivered candy to Eden’s residential participants.

We hope our entire Eden community has a happy and healthy holiday season!
