Eden Autism is thrilled to announce that Antonio Leon is the recipient of the 2025 NJACP STARS Award! He was selected for this award for his consistent dedication to his career and local community.

Antonio has been with the Eden Autism adult program since 1997. Antonio has been employed at Miele since 2015. His success at his job, where he works five days a week, is what made him a perfect candidate for this award.
Antonio spends his time setting up special events that Miele will host. Antonio will set up the tables, chairs, linens, and table settings, which require keen attention to detail. He will also prepare appetizers for these events and assist with any cleanup afterward.
Recently, Antonio suffered from some health concerns that caused him to miss several weeks of work. During this time, he remained an active participant at the day center, assisting with grocery shopping, preparing lunch, and performing light cleaning tasks. During this time, Antonio would ask when he could return to Miele, reinforcing what we already knew — the love of his job and routine.
Antonio currently lives at one of Eden’s supervised apartments. While at home, he enjoys trips out in the community. Antonio is also a yearly athlete in the Special Olympics, where he participates in cross-country skiing and bowling.
Antonio is an inspiration to all of us at Eden Autism, and we are proud to call him our STAR!
