On August 12, Eden families, staff, and neighbors gathered on a beautiful tree-lined street in Robbinsville to celebrate the grand opening of Eden Autism’s newest residence — its 34th to date! The fully renovated ranch-style home has been designed to support residents as they age.

“This home represents Eden’s long-term commitment to creating inclusive living environments for the individuals we support,” said Eden Autism President & CEO Michael Decker. “We are proud to open another residence where four more women can continue to grow and increase their independence.”

Spanning 3,400 square feet, the home features an open floor plan that includes an eat-in kitchen, living room, great room, four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a staff office. Accessibility enhancements include front and rear ramps, a composite deck, and a host of modern upgrades such as a new roof, siding, windows, a generator, and a fire suppression system.

This is Eden’s 12th residence in Robbinsville Township. “Robbinsville is an extremely generous Township,” said Eden Autism Director of Real Estate Gia Gore. “They are a champion of our cause.”

The development was made possible through funding from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA), Robbinsville Township, and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

“The grand opening of Eden Autism’s newest residential home in Robbinsville is the culmination of extensive work accomplished through an ongoing community partnership between the provider, developer, and Township,” said New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Executive Director Melanie R. Walter. “We are pleased to see the transformation of this residential property into stable, supportive housing for individuals with autism, and glad that our Special Needs Housing Trust Fund was able to finance this important work.”
