Eden Autism is thrilled to announce that Kevin Petranich is the recipient of the 2026 NJACP STARS Award!
Kevin’s journey is a true example of determination, growth, and resilience. Over the years, he has continued to build meaningful skills in both his professional and personal life while remaining dedicated to achieving his goals.
Kevin was previously employed at ETS in the mailroom, where he developed strong organizational skills, reliability, and a positive work ethic. He took pride in his responsibilities and was known for being dependable and hardworking. During his time there, Kevin gained valuable experience working as part of a team and contributing to the company’s daily operations.
Like many workplaces, ETS experienced major changes following the COVID-19 pandemic. As mailroom operations slowed, the position was eventually dissolved. Although this unexpected transition could have been discouraging, Kevin remained motivated and focused on finding a new opportunity where he could continue to grow and succeed.
Today, Kevin is proudly employed at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch in the hospitality field, where he plays an important role on the Compass Group kitchen team. He is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization by ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Kevin takes pride in his work, understanding that his role is essential to keep operations running smoothly and supporting both staff and guests. He approaches his responsibilities with consistency, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork, making him a valued member of the team.
Outside of work, Kevin is involved in Special Olympics. He bowls with a team called the Mercer Bowlers, where he enjoys the camaraderie and competition. Kevin also participates in track and field with the Eden Autism Adult team and will be competing in this year’s Summer Games in both the dash and ball throw events.

In addition to his professional and athletic accomplishments, Kevin lives in an Eden residence with his roommate, Steven. In this setting, he continues to build independence, develop daily living skills, and contribute positively to his home environment.
Kevin’s story highlights the power of perseverance and adaptability. Whether in the workplace, at home, or on the track, he continues to inspire those around him through his positive attitude, dedication, and determination to succeed.
We are proud to call him our STAR! Congratulations, Kevin!
