Improving the lives of people with autism — one individual at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time.

When Quintin Robin first started working at the Ed When Quintin Robin first started working at the Eden Residential Summer Camp in 2014, he wasn’t sure what he signed up for. He had never worked with children before, but by the end of the summer, he already couldn’t wait to come back the following year.

He still fondly remembers his first student, who is now in the Adult Services program. He made a joke to Quintin over breakfast that still makes him laugh to this day.

“It was the first time I saw his personality come through. I saw an actual person there, not just someone with a disability,” said Quintin. “Everything clicked. I’m getting to know this kid. He’s starting to trust me. He’s relying on me for certain things, and over the next two weeks, we just had fun together.”

Over a decade later, Quintin is now the Special Programs Manager at the Eden School. He works with the older students, preparing them and their families for their transition to adulthood. And in the summers, he can be found running and overseeing the camp program.

“It’s absolutely worth all the hard days when you see how far your kids can go and how much they can accomplish," he said.

The OTR Center, located in West Windsor, will undergo significant renovations to expand and update the facility and improve the experience of the adults who attend the day program at this location. In addition, 5,000 square feet of currently inaccessible space will be built out to accommodate the growth that comes with our Eden School graduates.

Sharon is Eden's dance and karaoke queen! From the Sharon is Eden's dance and karaoke queen! From the Beatles and Tony Benet to Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Whitney Houston, and anyone in between, Sharon lights up when she hears her favorite music.

Sharon recently celebrated her birthday, and the theme was “Groovy since ’61!”

At 64, Sharon hasn’t slowed down. She spends her days volunteering at Meals on Wheels and Bridge Church. This year, she will join a Special Olympics Bowling Team, her first time competing in the sport.

Knowing that Sharon has been cared for and loved by Eden staff for decades is reassuring for her sister Nan, who now lives in a different state.

“They have her best interest at heart,” said Nan. “I awake every morning and go to sleep each night thanking above for Eden and everyone there. I don’t know where we would be without them. I don’t know where Sharon would be. It has given her a life. The connections she has, the activities she has, and the people that are part of her life, it’s invaluable.”
