When the Eden School day ends each afternoon, the fun is just beginning for students in the Extended Day Program (EDP).
EDP is an after-school program that offers students the opportunity to engage in community activities with teachers and peers. Each day of the week is filled with a new venture — bowling, mini golf, restaurants, visits to parks, playing in local sports gyms and gymnastics studios.
Community engagement is a vital part of education at Eden. A simple trip to the bowling alley can be an opportunity to use the skills they learned at school — asking a worker for their bowling shoes, interacting with their peers and individuals at the bowling alley, asking teachers for help, and communicating what they want or need. And of course, all of these skills are used while having fun after school with their friends!
