Dear Adult Services Families,
As previously shared, Eden has worked alongside our colleagues in the IDD services community since late last year to advocate for a 3% cost of living adjustment (COLA) in New Jersey’s FY27 budget. Without an increase in rates, providers must continue absorbing rising costs.
Despite our collective efforts, and the support of Senator Andrew Zwicker (D-16) and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy (D-7), who sponsored resolutions supporting the increase, next year’s budget does not include a COLA.
In anticipation of this disappointment, Eden’s FY27 budget does not assume an increase in rates.
Thank you to parents and family members who joined us in this advocacy effort by contacting your representatives and attending events at the State House. It is important that we continue this work year-round given the challenging circumstances of federal cuts, regulatory changes, and other issues.
