Eden Autism’s Bobby Petrocchi wins NJACP Stars Award

Eden Autism is proud to announce that Bobby Petrocchi was recently presented with the 2022 NJACP Stars Award! His achievement was celebrated during NJACP’s virtual event on May 10.

Bobby accepts the Stars award with his mother, Doreen, and Eden Autism President & CEO Michael Decker

Each year NJACP (New Jersey Association of Community Providers) members nominate an individual with an intellectual and/or developmental disability for a Community Star Award. Nominated individuals are chosen for their ability to overcome obstacles and challenges in their daily lives.

Bobby is a longtime member of the Eden family. He graduated in 2018 from the Eden School and made a successful transition over to the day program. The skills he practiced and developed while at the school made him a perfect fit for employment at his two current roles, HealthQuest Fitness Club and Van Leeuwen & Company.

Recently, Bobby was recognized at HealthQuest as February’s “Difference Maker” for his hard work. He always welcomes guests from the club with a warm smile and “good morning” and ensures all of his responsibilities for the day are completed with accuracy and neatness.

Bobby enjoys spending time outdoors, especially the beach, and watching Disney movies. He also participates in the Special Olympics, with some of his favorite sports being the downhill skiing and track & field events. With the help and support from his mother, Doreen, and father, Bob, Bobby continues to develop and reach his goals both personally and professionally.

Bobby is an inspiration to all of us at Eden Autism, and we are immensely proud of his achievement as a 2022 Community Star!
