The Coalition for a DSP Living Wage will rally on May 13 to highlight the critical need for lawmakers to invest $54 million of new funding to secure competitive DSP wages and access the $54 million federal match.

DSP Coalition Rally to Raise Wages
Monday, May 13

New Jersey State House
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Valerie Sellers, Coalition for a DSP Living Wage Chair, will kickoff the event, followed by speeches from self-advocates, parents, Coalition members, and policymakers. At noon, attendees will walk to the Governor’s Office to deliver a letter from the Coalition to Governor Murphy.

Buttons and T-shirts will be provided by the Coalition, and attendees are encouraged to make signs featuring the slogans “Pay Fair 4 Direct Care” and “DSPs Do More, They Deserve More.” Water will be available, and there will be restroom access.

Please let us know if you plan to attend. Eden will consider coordinating transportation based on attendance.
