Donor Spotlight: Spherion New Jersey supports Eden Autism’s mission

When Spherion employees first visited Eden Autism three years ago, they were inspired by how many resources were available to not just children with autism, but adults with autism and their families as well.

One of their managers had a young child with autism, and they knew how difficult certain things could be for his family. Seeing an organization like Eden provide support for not just the individual with autism but the entire family inspired them to donate. And that donation has become a tradition that they’ve continued to do every holiday season.

“Eden Autism is a fantastic charity that does wonderful work in supporting the autistic community,” said Maria Terebecki, Office Manager. “We understand that autism is a lifelong diagnosis and is not only a struggle for the individual, but also the entire family. The work that Eden does to support these folks is exceptional and something that we are proud to offer support every year.”

As a nationwide recruiting company, they franchise three locations in New Jersey — Bridgewater, Princeton, and Tinton Falls. They fill positions throughout all of New Jersey and their exceptional service and communication is what sets them apart from the other recruiting firms.

Giving back to the community, a core part of their company values, also sets them apart.

We run local businesses that impact the diverse places we call home. Our placements enrich the lives of our job seekers and strengthen the businesses in our communities,” said Dan Sims, Lead Specialty Recruiter. “Our stories and experiences reflect those we serve every day — and when we’re successful together, our investments flow back into the neighborhoods where we live and work. The power of Spherion is in our local roots. Specifically, we choose a charity that is local to each of our offices to contribute to every year.”

Having support from the community is a key part of Eden’s mission, and it couldn’t be done without support from neighbors like Spherion.

“Businesses like Spherion, who believe in giving back to their neighbors, help make our entire community stronger. We are grateful for Spherion’s ongoing commitment to supporting children and adults with autism,” said Melinda McAleer, Eden Autism Chief Development Officer.
