In these extraordinary times, our thoughts are with the Eden community. Your support makes the critical difference in our ability to deliver services at the highest levels. With your interest in our mission in mind, we want to provide you with an update on the steps we are taking in response to the Coronavirus to ensure the safety of our students, adult participants, staff, and families.
First, while forced to change our approach, we remain committed to those we serve. Our adult residences remain open to provide the high level of care, services, and support that our participants require. Additional extensive safety measures have been implemented to help protect the health of both our participants and staff.
Among the most difficult measures we have had to take is the temporary closing of our School and Adult Day Program. We have instituted a number of ways in which our students and their parents can continue working on their educational programs. Likewise, we are doing all that we can to support the parents of adults who are unable to attend their day program. It is through an incredible display of commitment, energy, and creativity that our staff have risen to the challenges brought about by the unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in.
Of course, we continue to remain in contact with State and Federal agencies and organizations to remain apprised of and implement recommended courses of action. This includes restricting visitors to our facilities.
