BoxTops for Eden Autism surpasses $25K in donations

Small acts of kindness can go a long way. Few may understand this more than those who participate in the BoxTops for Education Program. The simple act of collecting BoxTops for Eden Autism has raised more than $25,000 since the program began in 2011.

An incredible $25,463 has been raised by BoxTops for Eden Autism, with people raising $1,852 so far in 2019 alone.

This year’s donations came from a combination of BoxTops coupons ($454) as well as cash donations ($1,398). The money collected will continue to benefit the garden program for both the School and the Adult Day Centers. A few additional requests, such as the School’s Halloween parade treat bags, will also be fulfilled using BoxTops donations.

The gardens are flourishing, thanks in part to the amazing teachers and students who are part of The Garden Club. They have been caring for the plants — watering, weeding, and composting — to learn valuable skills while having fun. The gardens are growing tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplans, peppers, lettuce, oregano, basil, and other plants.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the BoxTops program. Your generosity has given our participants a wonderful hands-on learning experience.

The next submission deadline to donate your BoxTops is Wednesday, October 23, 2019. For more information about the program, visit facebook.com/BoxTopsforAutismEden.
