Eight exceptional students were celebrated during the Class of 2023 Eden School Commencement. Teachers, parents, and staff came together on June 21 to honor graduating seniors Austin, Brielle, Bryce, Jimmy, Marquis, Riley, Vasu, and Vijay.
“To get to the place where each of our eight graduates are today, they’ve had to go through their own struggles and overcome the obstacles in their way,” said Chief Program Officer Dr. Rachel Tait. “Going through this journey and coming out on the other side has helped take our students from the little boys and little girl they were when they first started with us and help them become the young adults that we witness before us today.”
During the ceremony, staff celebrated the unique personality of each graduate.
Austin is known for his eagerness. He always wants to be involved in anything and everything happening around him. Brielle is the princess of the Eden School, who always appreciates a good compliment and could frequently be found rocking out on her iPad.
Bryce always keeps staff on their toes. They will never forget his charismatic personality and smile. Jimmy is the Eden School resident animal lover. There wasn’t a holiday that passed without Jimmy celebrating it with the school staff.
Marquis is a hard worker, dedicating himself to any task you give him. But he is always ready to take a break and dance to some Michael Jackson.
Riley’s smile can light up an entire room. There are few things he loves more than a good joke. Vasu is a master of leisure skills who is always ready to kick back and relax. Vijay is known throughout the school for being a Ramen noodle aficionado.
“Sitting up here next to me is quite a collection of personalities,” said Rachel. “To say that they will be missed is a true understatement. Next year our hallways will be a little different, maybe even a little quieter, but every staff here will not forget the impact these eight graduates have had on us.”
