Eden Autism 5K & Fun Run/Walk Raised Over $200,000!

Last Sunday over 1,200 people came out to participate in the Eden 5K and Fun Run/Walk! We’re still crunching the numbers but it looks like over $200K was raised! It was an incredible success and it’s all thanks to the amazing runners, walkers, cheerleaders and volunteers.

There’s nothing like the excitement of hearing the starting gun and watching the runners heading out on the course. This year the overall winner finished in 17:55! We’re out of breath just thinking about it. Plus, the overall female winner was a middle school student! How inspiring is that?! But whether you placed in your age group or were the final person to cross the finish line, every person made a difference. By participating in the race, fundraising, sharing on social media, and coming out early with a smile on your face, everyone made a difference to help those that Eden serves.

It Takes a Village

Our sponsors came out and brought the fun! We couldn’t ask for better and more engaging sponsors for the 5K. Thank you to all the sponsors who attended the event, bringing games, treats, and even mascots! It’s great to be able to partner with companies that are making a difference.

We can’t say enough “thank you’s” to our incredible volunteer. They came early in the morning and stayed well into the afternoon. An event like this cannot happen without the dedication and tremendous support of our volunteers. Without you, tents, tables, and chairs wouldn’t have been set up, people wouldn’t have gotten their running bibs, faces wouldn’t have been painted, and trash would have piled up. So thank you to the more than 130 volunteers that came out and gave of their Sunday to make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The numbers are still coming in but it looks like we will be breaking the $200K mark! There is no way this could have been done without everyone that has been involved in this event. The excitement, support, and time you dedicated to the event will help us in our mission to improve the lives of people with autism one individual at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time.  Another fun and inspiring 5K is in the books and we’re so excited!
